Climbing Mount Taranaki / The Lonely Mountain

Læs mere om turen her.

One of my favorites from Botswana in January. Zebras just running around in the sunset.

One year ago - since I was exploring Russia, Mongolia and China, while travelling on the Trans Mongolian Railway. Something everybody should try once in their life! 🛤🚃
Here in Moscow on the Red Square gazing upon the Saint Basil’s Cathedral.

Throwback to about a year ago, when I did the Trans Mongolian Railway and spend a week in Mongolia. Went to live in a Ger Camp in the Gobi Desert, and had to try the skill of archery, braid my hair due to old customs and try on some traditionel clothes.

The Penguins are doing a good job carrying us around the slopes in Mayrhofen.

Another shot from Africa. Another one of the Big Five we saw. Perhaps january is in the rainy season, but it is also the season where there are baby animals everywhere. Look at that cute little Rhino with his little horn! 😍🦏

Less than a day year old Zebra! Stripes are still messed up, because it was so wet. After a bit it started walking away with mom. Impressive that a 1 day old baby, can walk after one day and even with 4 legs. 🦓

When in the middle of nowhere, and there is not light pollution whatsoever, you just need to enjoy the beautiful nightsky!

Look at the magnificient giant!
Not sure if he lost and eye, and if he actually is as old as he look, but I am sure that the beauty would have some interesting stories to tell, if we gave him a voice. 🐘

Another one from Samoa. I’ve seen the Milky way a lot of times now, but never had the proper gear to take pictures of it. Now I finally have, and I got this beauty on Lalomanu Beach, while sitting all alone under a coconut tree and listening to the waves.

Being back at Samoa the last two weeks, really was a dream coming true. And this time I stayed at Upolo at Lalomanu. Only 15 minutes drive from To Sua Ocean Trench. Easy to take pictures when the sun is high and the tide is low. 😍

Another shot from China, where we went to see the amazing Terracotta warriors. Used to be 8000 statues, carved out from real life warriors to protect the tomb of the first emperor of China. Really facinating stuff!

“What a cute little monkey” is that @simonroenborg said when we found some wild monkeys in Zhangjiajie National Park while hiking around. And he was right, specially when we found this Mommy with her little baby.

Another shor from China. This time from Zhangjiajie National Park, where you can find the famous Halleluja-Mountains from the movie Avatar. Also known as the Avatar Mountains. Felt like real magic just standing watching them.

On our trip, we took a trip from Beijing to Huangyaguan Great Wall. A part of the wall not really known by tourists yet. So I was able to get this amazing picture in this amazing area. 5/7 of the 7 World Wonders have been visited! Tick.

Home from an absolutely incredible vacation in China, Mongolia and Russia. One of the highlights, and another tick on my bucketlist, was to experience Pandas. I love these big fluffy bears. Visited the Panda Breeding Center, the place that made the Pandas breed again and helped the Pandas survive!
