Franz Josef and Fox Glacier

Jeg takker rejseguderne for at have været os gunstige indtil nu.

Arrived back from Guatemala and Mexico, and what a magical trip! After seeing the Northern Lights my next night sky bucketlist dream was to see a vulcano erupt. So did the climb up Acatenango where you can see El Fuego erupt multiple times every night. And we had the perfect weather conditions aswell. What should be next I wonder?

When my friend saw this picture he wrote “It is Mother Earths breast shooting out redglowing milk in the Air” - “By Kjærholt”. Poetry monday is a thing.

Throwback to about a year ago, when I did the Trans Mongolian Railway and spend a week in Mongolia. Went to live in a Ger Camp in the Gobi Desert, and had to try the skill of archery, braid my hair due to old customs and try on some traditionel clothes.

Another shot from Africa. Another one of the Big Five we saw. Perhaps january is in the rainy season, but it is also the season where there are baby animals everywhere. Look at that cute little Rhino with his little horn! 😍🦏

Less than a day year old Zebra! Stripes are still messed up, because it was so wet. After a bit it started walking away with mom. Impressive that a 1 day old baby, can walk after one day and even with 4 legs. 🦓

When in the middle of nowhere, and there is not light pollution whatsoever, you just need to enjoy the beautiful nightsky!

Look at the magnificient giant!
Not sure if he lost and eye, and if he actually is as old as he look, but I am sure that the beauty would have some interesting stories to tell, if we gave him a voice. 🐘

Another one from Samoa. I’ve seen the Milky way a lot of times now, but never had the proper gear to take pictures of it. Now I finally have, and I got this beauty on Lalomanu Beach, while sitting all alone under a coconut tree and listening to the waves.

Being back at Samoa the last two weeks, really was a dream coming true. And this time I stayed at Upolo at Lalomanu. Only 15 minutes drive from To Sua Ocean Trench. Easy to take pictures when the sun is high and the tide is low. 😍

Another shot from China, where we went to see the amazing Terracotta warriors. Used to be 8000 statues, carved out from real life warriors to protect the tomb of the first emperor of China. Really facinating stuff!
